The Harvest Moon in Lancaster MOONS the public!!!

Hey there everyone,

Hope you all are having a great time this winter. Not much left of it... or is there? Well I think only Mother Nature can answer that and perhaps maybe Punxsutawney Phil. How ever you look at it, it is still cold, we still have a bit of weather to get through and summer will be here before long and then we will all be complaining how hot it is.

Our little post here is just stepping back a bit. I'm stepping away from the food subject just a bit to bring to light some new information here at the Harvest Moon Bed and Breakfast in Lancaster.

You see, when we moved to Lancaster and decided to open a bed and breakfast, we had no idea what it would be called. Silly names like Thistle Hill, (because of the thistle on the hill in front of our house) Marjorie's ( because of the former owner), or even 311 East Main, ( how original is that) Well, none of them fit so we knocked it out of our heads for a while and then the Fall came and the word Harvest just came out and ultimately moon was an obvious connection.

The phrase Harvest Moon refers is the moon at and about the period of fullness that is nearest to the autumnal equinox. You can find out more from Wikipedia

Well we decided to give the Harvest Moon a whole new meaning here at the Harvest Moon bed and breakfast. What does it really mean you might ask, another meaning? Hmmm... how could that be. Just wait!!
